My name's mike. I'm 16 and i've been playing for about two years now. I haven't had a guitar lesson yet. I'm hoping to get some this spring, maybe.
I had a period of about two or three weeks where I wouldn't put down my guitar thanks to ankle surgery. I made some music all hopped up on perkacets and daytime TV. The main song to come out of my two week period of non-stop painkillers is "Rustic". It's in open D tuning.
I have a real diverse taste in music and I'm open to anything, with the exception of bad rap. My favorite band if I had to name one would be the Dave Matthews Band. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Grateful Dead, Phish and The Beatles are all close seconds.
Leo Kottke and John Petrucci are two of the most underrated guitarists on earth. Keller Williams is also up there.

I have somewhat of a band going, but we haven't been able to record anything yet and we're still kicking around names. Theres only three people in it and we're open for other instruments besides bass, guitar and drums.
